Travel from the port to the city center of Puerto Montt with it’s picturesque fishing wharf and seafood market. Spend some time in this quaint town to visit the typical square and the cathedral before continuing on to Puerto Varas, the “City of Roses”, known for its alpine and traditional German-style architecture.

 The excursion continues to Frutillar, one of Chile’s most captivating and popular summer resorts located by the Llandquihue Lake.  Admire the eternally snow capped Osorno volcano and take advantage of fabulous photo opportunities. The last segment of the excursion includes a drive through the old district and the coastal avenue to visit Frutillar, a very scenic village full of nice European architecture, pleasant gardens, tasty pasties, and a museum that will teleport us to the 19th century before returning to Puerto Montt.

2.- Puerto Montt and Petrohue Falls  (7Hrs)

Enjoy aTravel from the ship to the city center of Puerto Montt, with its picturesque fishing wharf and seafood market. Visit the main square of Puerto Varas, “City of Roses,” known for its alpine and traditional German-style architecture. A lakeside drive leads you to the impressive Petrohue River Falls, a gleaming succession of azure blue rapids against a back drop of mountains and the emerald green Todos los Santos Lake. Here, a breathtaking view of the snow capped “Volcan Osorno” can be admired. Lunch at a typical restaurant in Ensenada. visit to a typical rustic “hosteria” featuring specialties of the area. On the return to Puerto Montt (time permitting) a stop will be made at the Angelmo market before returning to the pier.

3.- A day with the Huasos (Chilean Cowboys) (6hrs)

Day of activities at a typical Chilean ranch (“Fundo”), where the most cherished traditions of the “huasos” (Chilean country horsemen) will be displayed: their food, their music, their work skills and tools, a show of the national sport (“Rodeo”) along with the chance to visit a stud farm of Chilean horses. The whole section of the ranch included in the visit will be operative for the group exclusively.
