The excursion continues to Frutillar, one of Chile’s most captivating and popular summer resorts located near the Llanquihue Lake. Admire the eternally snow-capped Osorno Volcano and take advantage of the fabulous photo opportunities. This scenic village is full of nice European architecture, pleasant gardens, tasty pastries, and a museum that will teleport you to the 19th century; you will experience all this before returning to Puerto Montt.
Puerto Montt and Petrohue Falls (7Hrs)
Enjoy a trip that takes you from the ship to the city center of Puerto Montt, along its picturesque fishing wharf and seafood market. Visit the main square of Puerto Varas—also referred to as the “City of Roses”—, which is known for its alpine and traditional German-style architecture. After this, a lakeside drive leads you to the impressive Petrohué River Falls, a gleaming succession of azure blue rapids against a back drop of mountains and the emerald green Todos los Santos Lake. Here, you can admire a breathtaking view of the snow-capped Osorno Volcano. This tour includes a lunch stop at a typical restaurant in Ensenada and a visit to a typical rustic “hosteria”, featuring specialties of the area. While returning to Puerto Montt, (if time allows) a stop will be made at the Angelmo Market.
